The Spell of Tradition: Two Noh Operas are two short operas created by Peter Wing Healey of the Mesopotamian Opera Company. They are both short stories told in Japanese Noh style of music and drama, relating to one of America's Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin. The first is about how a young opera diva is killed in an accident and goes on a quest to restore the beauty and value of Opera to a hateful man, and the ghost of Franklin is the one whom she believes will help her. The second tells about Franklin in his youth and his visions about the future and the great things that will come in the years ahead.

The play is performed at the Ebell Club in Los Angeles, May 2017. Directed and created by Peter Wing Healey.
