There Be Dragons

A new production written by Aleshea Harris, There Be Dragons tells the story of a crumbling kingdom governed by Queenie (a drug addict), Guard (the supplier who sees himself only as a harmless public servant), Queenie's brother Duke (who eagerly watches a broken television for updates on 'dragons'), and Cobbler (former fiancé to MilkMaid who is waiting for her newly found love to come and marry her, who seems to be taking a very long time to arrive). Each character in the story is struggling to separate between what they perceive as reality and what is actually real.

Directed by Zoe Aja Moore, produced and performed at the California Institute of the Arts in Ensemble Theatre E407, April 2014. Photos by Spencer Stuff, Amanda Shank, and Scott Groller.
