Peer Gynt

The famous Norwegian fairy tale of the wanderer Peer Gynt combines realism and surrealism in his adventures for self-discovery, greed, ambition, romance, and sense of belonging. During his travels he encounters all manners of beings, from simple townsfolk & servants to royalty & world leaders to monsters, Death and the Devil himself, until finally returning home to his family.

Directed by Kristin Marting, this workshop took place in Ensemble Theatre E400 at the California Institute of the Arts, November 2013. Photos by Finn Paul.
